“The figure has always been a source of inspiration for me.  Its ever changing shapes, colors, and lines have been a stimulus in my exploration process.  Figurative drawing and painting became my conduit to the beauty of sensuality, flow of spirit and the ties to earth”.

Gideon was born in 1947 in Sweden and grew up on a Kibbutz in Israel.  He lived in Israel and Holland before moving to California in 1983.
Though possessing a zest for art from birth, through childhood and adulthood, “serious artwork” in the form of drawings didn’t surface until the early 1990’s.  While attending various classes for art, interior design, architecture and CAD, he continued drawing and painting in his studio, which allowed him to shape his art.

A member of several museum and art foundations Gideon has entered many art competitions and has received a variety of awards.

You can find out more about Gideon at his website here.

These wines support "The Ophelia Project" which is a program of the Healthy Family Foundation that enriches bicultural collateral through: ‘etiquette for all situations’, art awareness as a vehicle to expand learning skills, and prevention of adolescent and teen obesity. Gideon was instrumental in starting the art program, where he's been the Art Director since it's inception. For more information, visit their website here.
